I think I can post other-than-diabetes feline health questions here, right?

Does anybody have photos of skin cancer in cats they can share with me? I want to compare them to what I see on my mom's cat. The photos on Dr. Pierson's site of skin cancer is on the cat's ears and doesn't look much like what I'm seeing my my mom's cat.

My mom's cat has a growth that keeps coming back on/by his nose. It scabs over, then in a few days the scab is gone and it's bloody underneath. The the scab is back, and the cycle repeats. Her vet says it's probably cancer, but doesn't suggest doing anything about it now.

Any photos to compare or advice would be much appreciated.

You can reply to me at bambinaki@hotmail.com (or here).

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your Mom's cat. The vet can't even test to see what it is? Sounds weird that a vet does not want to do a test.

I got the impression that the vet is pretty sure it's cancer. Talked about its prevalence in cats that are mostly white.

The only way to test it to take a sample (biopsy) of the growth and look at it under a microscope. Typically, a pathologist should do the determination vice you vet.
