Woohoo Silver has successfully used his litter tray not the floor for the past two days. He's even sitting for longer now. He hasn't been able to sit with his neuropathy but I am seeing improvement after just one week on methyl B12. Thanks to the forum for recommending it.

That's fantastic news, Juliet! I'm very happy for you both. dancing_cat

Lol well I spoke too soon. Peed on the floor today. All I can say is thank God for puppy pads!!

I know it's not much comfort but there are worse places he could have done it, Juliet. (Don't ask how I know this. ;-) )

It's great that Silver's making progress on the methylcobalamin so quickly.

Thanks. I'm so pleased he's sitting for short periods again after just s week in the methyl. So cool.

Hmmm I hate to think where else kitty might pee. I'm happy I know where to look!

Not seen Mel online today. Hope snowstorm didn't snow her in.

I was wondering about that. I hope they're all OK.

I'm off to the leaba (banjaxed after the troops were here to help with the packing). Enjoy the rest of the evening, and good luck for tomorrow!

Thanks. Hope the move goes well. Urgh I hate moving house but love it when I'm all settled in and it's new.

I'm glad to hear Silver is making it to the box at least some of the time. Have you seen the Breeze litter system? It has high sided walls to address Sasha's aim issues and a low entrance to help out Silver. The entrance side is about 6.5 inches. It's the box I use and I know some others on the forum have had some success with it.

I just want to throw the suggestion out there in case it might work for you.

That looks good April....trouble is, neither cat turns round in the tray. They are weird. They walk in forward and do their business. Right in the entranceway and often over the side. The ones I uses are high four sided for that reason. Silver's legs are strengthening and he can get in as I've watched him. He tends to use the floor when his numbers are high. So annoying :-(

Maybe take a long sweater box with tall sides and cut one end out for ease of entry.

If it is big enough, he can walk all the way in it with no effort, nor turning around. Neuropathy can make it tough to get around.

I saw an example on My Cat From Hell. The cat had arthritis which was painful and couldn't climb over the edges. A large box with a large hole cut down the side made it possible for the cat to get in without pain. Seems that something similar could work for a cat with neuropathy that has trouble getting in and out. And human diabetics say their neuropathy can hurt. If something hurts, cats don't generally work harder to do it.

And there are the bed pads ("chucks") for humans which may be laid around the box, too.
