Switching to the human meter. Do I simply copy and paste the new human meter spreadsheet link to my signature page along with the old spreadsheet or is there a way to combine them?

Can I keep using the old spreadsheet? How does this work with the conversion? (I have not used the new meter yet.)

Thank you!

Hi Jadi,
I am going to ask @Chris & China to help you with the SS - Chris actually set mine up and taught me how to use it.
Your wallet will be very happy that you switched to human meter - strips are so much cheaper and you can get them at almost any human pharmacy or at Walmart. I use Walmart brand Relion - $35 for 100 strips.

I know!!! It is crazy how expensive the Alpha Trek strips are... I did upload the new spreadsheet to my sig page, but I am not sure if I can combine somehow...or if I now will just have two...which makes it kind of a pain. Thank you, Tanya.

I would say use the same SS, just use up an entire row to write that a new meter has started, something like"Above #s Alpha Track meter, below numbers ReliOn meter". Also, it would help if you write what meter you are using in your signature.

There is no direct conversion from an AT to a human meter, AT will read higher, but at lower #s the difference is less than at higher numbers. (50 on a human meter is about 68 on AT, 350 on human meter is about 430 on AT)

If you are using ReliOn strips, I found the best prices on eBay

There's a formatting difference for alphatrak sheets vs the human meter sheets. The range of normal and low have different numbers as you can see across the legend line at the top. If your number is under 68 on pet meter, cell turns neon green. On human meter page, it won't turn neon green until 49. If someone's somewhat used to using spreadsheets and conditional formatting, it's not too hard to change but I would suggest maybe copying the sheet as it stands as backup in case something is messed up.

Will do!
Thank you!

Remember, for safety, duplicate the sheet before you start - right click the tab, duplicate

The easiest way to make pet to human change:

Go to first cell you want to change
Right click - choose 'conditional formatting' from that menu. Formatting showing ranges and numbers will appear.
Scroll down to the regular green color - change the number from 68 to 50
ALSO go the the neon green color - change that top number to 49 - if you don't do this one too, you'll end up with a circular failure
Save or whatever the action button is there...I can't remember...it may be just [enter]
Choose that cell you just changed - COPY
Highlight the whole AMPS range
Right click - choose 'Paste Special' for submenu
Choose 'Formatting only' - click action button
Highlight the whole AM numbers range including the PMPS range - repeat 'Paste Special'/Formatting
Highlight whole PM numbers range - repeat 'Paste Special'/formatting
Click into another cell

This should fix it...

Thank you Lyresa!!!

I am going to have my husband do his excel formatting magic on the spreadsheet tonight...it is above my creative brain pay grade to make those changes...

I just made the conversion to the human meter and used it for the first time. My reading was 348 which I think you said is about 432 on the AT meter. Is there an exact conversion rate that I can use, as not to confuse my vet?...you know how easily they can get ruffled.

At higher numbers, the readings will be further apart between meters than they are at lower numbers, so there's no easy way to convert them. Since I'm more worried about low numbers (anything above 250 is too high for me on either meter), I will occasionally test with both when I get readings in the 50s. I bring a copy of the spreadsheet to the vet's office and having the AT2 reading shows that he wasn't actually hypoglycemic.
