It's half an hour AFTER Pepper's shot time and his BG is only 100. Should I shoot? His PM was only 85. I have to be away for about an hour so I'm starting to panic.
I am in no way an expert at dosing, but it is my opinion, to not shoot, as this is still a dropping number from your +7. What an awesome cycle today, for Pepper!
Yikes, I'm not that experienced enough to give solid advice.
Junior was 88 when I had to leave for an hour to go over to Sienne's on Monday. I gave him his shot but also gave him some karo to tie him over while I was out. I don't know how that impacted his numbers that evening but he was in the 70's.
The difference is Junior's swings aren't as big as Pepper's. I don't know about this. Hopefully someone with more experience will see this soon.
I would have suggested that you give the shot. You shot with a PMPS of 129 a few days ago. When you shoot a lower than usual number be sure to get a +1 and +2.
Here's Libby's post on handling low pre-shots so you have a reference handy if no one is around.
FWIW: It's helpful if you put what your pre-shot number or the +time and BG number is in your subject line. It's a better way to get you the help you were looking for.
I was not going to be home for other tests. I had to cancel moving last night because I was unsure what Pepper was going to do. And now I had to move his shot time +2 because of travel plans for mom's funeral. I'm really going to mess up his good numbers now.
In the grand scheme of things, having to move a shot later by 2 hrs isn't as problematic as shooting early. You'll be able to move the shot time back where it needs to be in 15 min. increments twice a day.
And now that I moved it I find out I need to move it another hour at least, forgot about the time change between here and there! Gees...my brain is not working...too much stress in my life right now.
