Should I reduce dose?

My spreadsheet should show up now for reference. Pumpkin's numbers have been higher than normal all week. Until today when I started doing a curve for the Doctor. He is now down to 209 and should be getting his next dose after eating in a couple of hours. I am frustrated. Because all week the numbers have been in the 400s sometimes and now today with the curve it isn't a accurate reflection of the trend of the week.

Is there a certain number below which the dose should be decreased to prevent hypoglycemia?

Generally speaking in the beginning, you don’t want to shoot anything under 200. Do you think you could try to get a few more test in every day? A +2 in the evening every day is great and also maybe a midday one to try to catch his nadir? We dose by how low the dose takes your cat so we need to on try to see that. If you’re following SLGS, you’d want to increase after 7 days, but it depends on the nadir and right now we’re not seeing it. It’s possible he’s going too low overnight and today we’re seeing a bounce, which would explain the flat curve.

Before increasing, I would try and get some tests in during the pm cycles when the BG often drops lower. At the moment we don’t know what is happening during the pm cycles at all. He could be dropping lower than we think. Do you think you could do that ?

Overnight, I am sleeping. I work in the daytime and can't check over night without not being able to go back to bed. Then I won't be able to work. :( Near tears now.

I could try to get more in the daytime to check. He also is a picky eater. Or... I never see him eat much because he eats when no one is looking. Like I was saying before, getting up in the middle of the night is not feasible though. I'd have to set the alarm and then would not be able to fall back asleep. I work in the morning, so I must rest.

Can you get a before going to sleep test ?
Sure. I think that's a good idea. They offered to attach a device, and put him in a shirt. This won't work for him. He'll be too upset, he probably won't eat. Doughnut collars don't work on him for long either. Last one got wet because it dipped in the water, but doughnut collars surpass the cone.
