My cat's numbers are always high -- hardly ever under 200. She drops fast and even had a hypo if I follow the vet's advice and only feed her twice a day -- then she bounces way up again and stays over 500 for hours. I would like to increase her Prozinc from 1-1/2 units to 2 tomorrow morning and from 1 unit to 1 1/2 units in the evening and see if I can get these numbers down a little. My husband is home and can test and feed her all day long.
We feed her Sheba which has 3% carbs and sometimes Friskies which is 5%. My vet wants me to shoot her 1/2 hour before feeding her but I do not think that is good advice and I am going to try to find a new vet this week.
I would appreciate any help - I'm just sick about her being so sick all day long. She seems fine, but with these high numbers she must feel pretty crappy.
