Ok, so Hank's been on 1.5u for 11 shots now. Is it time to do another curve? The soonest that I could do one would be Friday.

What happened to the nice yellow pre shot numbers? The 2 red PMPS numbers? Mmmm, not sure? I'm sad!

I have been trying to have Hank eat a little at +2 or +3 but have been a couple of times (before PMPS time) that I've just left a little bit of food down and just left the house. So he probably grazed.

So what does anyone think?

No, Hank is STILL NOT eating wet food. He is REALLY trying my patience! Gotta love'm! :-D

Thanks,
Kimmie

Actually, the numbers are looking pretty good with the 1.5u dose. Even though he got two red numbers, they were low red numbers. Sure a lot better than before. Also you are getting good blues around mid-cycle too. If you are going to be home on Friday, you could try a curve with possibly a little increase. It could possibly get you a little better preshot numbers. I am sure Sue will weigh in tomorrow but that is what I would try if it was Merlin. The consistent dose looks like it has settle him down with less bouncing. Great job collecting data...

I actually agree with Cindi here. His numbers haven't been bad. He seems to hang out below the renal threshold most days. The bounciness seems to have settled some. I'd think a curve might be nice but I'm a data junkie. I don't know that it's necessary.

You could increase a tad (maybe .2?) on a day you're home to monitor to see if you could go down a bit. That's my thoughts at least.

You're doing great! Keep it up!

I agree, his numbers are improving. I am always for extra testing though. (raises hand) "Yes Im a test addict" lol I dont think too much data is a bad thing so I'm for "curve when ever you can, and fur babies tolerate it lol"

As to the food, have you tried the Epigen 90? Thats supposed to be the lowest carb for the Epigen. I cannot say for sure since I have not used it, but from reading posts that is what I have seen. Some times a small differece can make a BIG difference. I know Hidey is very carb sensitive and has to be 5% or less or he spikes.

Keep up the good work!

I'm a test addict too and agree with all the others. A slight increase when you're home and able to test throughout the day sounds like a good idea too. That's what I've been doing with Bailey and having the extra info from testing really helps. It might take a couple of days for Hank to settle in to the increased dose so don't get discouraged if you don't see immediate positive changes on it ;-)

Me too. I think you are getting some nice cycles - regulated ones, with yellow preshots and blue nadirs. He does seem to have an odd higher, flat cycle every so often - not sure why unless that is his bouncy pattern.

You could add a smidge, as others have suggested, to see if he gets lower nadirs, but there is always that bounce thing lurking. Up to you. I like an increase of no more than .25 and only when you can monitor too.

Thank you all for the feedback.

This has been the first chance I've had to check my post. Busy day. I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow and now I have to be at work on Friday at 5am. My manager is off till next Tuesday because she has pneumonia. So I'm not going to be able to do a curve on Friday after all.

I'm off on Saturday so I think I'll try 1.75u dosages then. I'll be able to monitor too.

Someone on this forum, I think his screen name is zzyxx, wrote me about trying the Epigen food. I wrote him back and told him that I was going to order the Epigen 90 and he told me that it had the same carb content as the 60. So I didn't order it. I ordered 1 fish and 1 bag of chicken 60 Epigen. My goal was to have Hank on wet food before they were gone but I've started the second bag now. I was thinking about ordering the Epigen 90 next.

Thank you all again. I'm heading to bed. Goodnight all,

Kimmie
