Hi, I'm new here. My cat recently stopped eating even though she usually loves eating so I knew that there was an underlying cause to her not eating. I took her to the vet who just gave her a shot for her appetite which didn't change anything. I am going to the vet again soon and in the meantime she hasn't been eating by herself.
My aunt suggested feeding her through a syringe ( I remembered doing that when I was child to one of the cats in the village who wouldn't eat). I blended her normal food with water to create a good consistency for it to smoothly go down her throat (quite watery but not too much) and I managed to feed her a small cup (I put the syringe past her mouth, a little bit into her throat) and then I have her her normal dose of insulin.
I hope this was helpful to someone. This isn't a good long term method, just until the vet can figure out why your cats aren't eating.
