thought I'd share this since I just typed it up for someone. shortcut for those of you who don't like looking at charts...

Just in case you didn't know, the Wysong all-meat varieties are not complete foods. They do not have all of the necessary nutrients to be fed as an only food. They are good for occassional use or if you add your own supplements.

I see that you took the phosphorus values from Binky's list; those are no longer up to date and some have changed radically. For example, EVO 95% Venison is listed on Binky's as having a phos level of 146, which is acceptable for a senior/CKD cat. The current phosphorus value for the same food is 416, which is incredibly high and should certainly not be feed to a senior/CKD cat.

I went and corrected it last night to that list.
That one must have slipped thru. it was 2 am... 2 am dyslexia?

I see the people using the Merrick cowboy cookout and checked it out at the pet store but it has gravy in it?? so it's still fine???

I see what you are asking. It does gravy on the can on the front side.

I don't see a real gravy inside the can but it is juicy which can be gravy like.
I'm going by the new list that Julia cited that is supposed to be up to date on the nutritional value.
It's supposed to be one of the good ones.
It still says low glycemic on the can.
I hope Merrick isn't tweaking with it and changing the stats as we know them.

added some more.


be sure and note the phosphorus on some of those fancy feasts. I would shuffle around so you aren't always feeding
the highest phosphorus cans.

Pretty new to market (at least out here in no mans land!) - meow mix pate toppers are very low and Romeo went crazy for it.

I'm not sure about meow mix.

Maybe they've changed something...?

I never had a cat ( years ago) that didn't throw it up.
It has too many dyes ( for the bright colors) in it so I worry about what else is in it.
Maybe my cats are ( were) just sensitive to the dyes..
