Sunny's numbers gotinto the green today for the first time after my adjustment to 2U(fat) this morning. YAY! But this is the lowest I've seen him at pre-shot time. Not sure whether to give insulin or not, and if so, how much? Was planning to give 1.75 tonight based on SLGS...but might be too much?

Thank you! I read the documentation saying I could stall and see what his numbers are like in an hour, forgo insulin tonight, or give a reduced dose.... but I don't trust myself to make this decision at this stage. Don't know what I would give for a dose if his numbers do come up in an hour. Just fed him his FF dinner for now.

I'm only familiar with Prozinc in what I have read here on the forum. From my understanding, since you had numbers under 90 today, you should reduce back to 1.75u. https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/prozinc-dosing-methods.225629/

Usually, when you stall, and wait to retest, that includes not feeding, to make sure the number is rising on its own and isn't food influenced. That said, I think based on the fact that you can see from his +9 to PMPS he was on the rise already, I'd suggest giving him 1.75u. He'll probably bounce from hitting greens today, but from what I see on your SS, I think 218 is a safe number to shoot.

Thanks Again Christie :cat:

You're welcome :). In this case, probably not a mess up per se, since he was coming up and I don't think the food you fed would have changed much on your decision of whether you shot or not. Looks like he's starting his bounce, but if you are inclined to check him one more time a little later tonight, I won't argue. I always like to do a before bed test myself ;)
