Goodness, yes! I'm trying not to get too excited, but he just hit GREEN all on his own!!!

Well, not ALL on his own. He wouldn't have reached this little milestone without all the amazing people on this site. I keep thinking that if I had followed my vet's directions, I would still be blindly shooting one full unit twice/day and would have probably killed him with hypo by now. You have all quite literally saved his life by teaching me to monitor and giving guidance as we quite rapidly had to decrease his dose over the past week. I cannot thank you all enough!

I know the road isn't over yet, but for today we can have a very quiet little celebration!

No, you saved his life. If you hadn't made the effort to learn more about FD and searched out the forum and then been willing to take the advice of crazy cat people on the internet.........

Remember that this forum only exists because people are willing to pay it forward. Any time you can, post on the Welcome forum. Just hearing from someone else who is relatively new that hometesting isn't impossible, and what helped you. and that changing the diet does really make a difference - that info is invaluable from someone else who is in the trenches.
