I picked up Musette's ashes yesterday, I'm still waiting for her urn to arrive so I can lay her to rest in her final home. The vets at our regular clinic were so sweet they both came out and gave me hugs and expressed their sympathy over her loss. Both vets and two of the techs assured me that she didn't suffer and went quietly in her sleep. It still feels so unreal that she is not ever going to sleep on my pillow again, that I'm never going to feel her patting my face or wake up to her purring up a storm.
This is the urn that I ordered for her..and Jon is building a display case that will have 14 cubes to it, so that as the time comes for each of the remaining Fur Gang to join their sister at the Bridge there will be a place for each of them.
I really pray that Musette and Muse have found each other, and are chasing butterflies and telling each other stories about their family that they left behind.
