Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are having a good day!

we did another curve today on the odd numers and I just dont know
I think maybe I should keep him here for a week or so and see what happens
I am not very happy and his numbers go up as I increase the insulin so I am
a little confused.

any input would be great
Thanks as always

Denise and shakes

Thanks Sue, I am trying,
I think I am jsut having a bad day..
sorry,
this can be so frustrating, asI am sure you know,

dont know how you seem to always be so calm (thank goodness for that!)

This is a VERY frustrating process. No clear rules and things always changing, with so many uncontrollable variables. Don't let your days hang on these numbers, it is sure to drive you crazy. How is the overall functioning and behavior of your kitty? That counts too. And telling yourself that you are a dedicated mama bean doing everything you can think of---your kitty is lucky to have you. There are people who just put the cat down because they can't deal with diabetes!
So give yourself a pat on the back and go do something that is FUN!

Thank you Judy,
Needed that, and your right
his personality is so much better on this insulin,
and I am so thankful for that!
I am sure with everyones help we will get his numbers down,

I have to not let it get to me
thanks for the pep talk

Given that you didn't see greens on Lantus til you got to 3.5, I wouldn't stress too much that the #s aren't great yet. You may have a few dose increases to go.

The higher #s on the 16th could be if he had some liver reaction to the blues the night before, and then with the dose a hair lower on the 16th you saw the reaction more clearly than you might have on a higher dose.

If it were me I'd probably try 3u in another couple cycles if the #s aren't better, or 2.75 if I were feeling edgy. Then hold that 2 or 3 days and reevaluate.
