Note: Shaikha has a UTI and just started antibiotics yesterday, so her numbers will likely be off for a little while until that starts to settle down. Hoping we can even out the swings better. I increased her insulin yesterday to compensate for the higher numbers so am hoping we can get that sorted out soon. Will adjust as needed. Am trying to do 1-2 midcycles to try to pin down nadir number so I know how low she's going.

6/2 PMPS = 483, gave 0.8U
6/3 numbers:
AMPS = 287, gave 0.8U
+4 = 268
+6.5 = 224
MDPS= 251, gave 0.8U
+4 = 129
PMPS = 319, gave 0.8U (PMPS actually at +7.5, shot 1/2 hour early trying to get her back on schedule but she was starting to zoom up so figured it would be okay)
 
She's doing okay with the antibiotics, though her appetite is getting depressed a little. Not sure if it is the antibiotics or the UTI. She seems hungry, just not eating much each time. If this continues I may switch her from ondansetron to anzemet, as the latter is a stronger anti-nausea drug. If that doesn't work we may need to consider a different antibiotic that doesn't make her nauseated, assuming that's the cause. I'm not noticing signs of straining when using the litterbox, but may also consider trying buprenorphine in case it is pain causing the inappetance instead of nausea. She's peed in the litterboxes today at least, though has pooped outside them a few times. Hope that doesn't continue but if she feels badly she'll do that.

A decent day overall, though she started to zoom a little towards the PMPS. But I was pleased overall that she didn't zoom too badly despite being sick.
 
I hope Shaikha feels better soon.

You have such a great understanding of her issues. I admire so much, the care you give her.
