She seems to be feeling better this AM, though her appetite is a bit off still. That could be the antibiotics or the anemia, probably the latter. She's still drinking too much, but other than that seems okay. Hoping for a good day today! Joanna made a suggestion yesterday that I may look into about increasing her dose a tiny bit to see if we get better duration like we did yesterday with my shooting early. I wasn't sure if she was actually rising this AM. I did one test, repeated it 10 min. later and she was slightly lower but that could be normal variation in my meter. I then did another test about 45 min. later after she ate but it was definitely higher. If we could tweak her back into b.i.d. that would make my life easier come this fall at work. But if we need to continue t.i.d. we'll do that too. Off to the races!

6/9 PMPS = 350, gave 0.9U
+7 = 209
6/10 numbers:
AMPS = 235, gave 0.9U
+5 = 88 (yay! A green)
MDPS= 238, gave 0.9U (at +8 she was 175 so I wasn't sure if I should shoot or not, waited 40 min. and she was at 238 so fed and shot then)
+5 = 138
PMPS = 289, gave 0.9U

The b.i.d would make your life easier. I do think we have had some kitties that went t.i.d. for awhile, seemed to settle into the insulin better and then were able to get better numbers b.i.d. Hope Shaikha might be one of those.

Wow another green today! wohoo!

I'm liking these greens! I want to see how it goes today with 0.9U at 8 hour intervals. If she does well then I might tweak up or just hold for a few days. She tends to freak out sometimes when she gets greens, but so far we've been lucky -- no bounces that I can see.

Very nice!!! She does look a little zoomy like you said after the pretty green :mrgreen: but that should settle down the more time she hangs out in Greenville. It's really amazing to scroll through her SS, just the contrast between recent days and a month ago - night & day. I am so happy for you that you've been able to get things under control for her. And now we have another TID expert on the board (I'm definitely NOT one!), so that is great too for our collective experience pool. YAY. Nice to see too that ProZinc is proving itself (at least for some...).

True to form, she was a bit more elevated in the evening cycle, though not bad compared to where she's been. Once she sees a green, she seems to overcompensate, but at least it wasn't a megazoom like she was doing. Hopefully her liver will learn to love those greens! She may have gone lower a little earlier, I suppose. We're making progress, nonetheless. For now, I'm going to hold her at 0.9U hoping we can force a few more greens. Once I get her liking those, my plan is to experiment edging her up a little to see if we can get more duration. I don't want to force too much too quickly with her since she tends to overcompensate with even small changes.

I do think the new antibiotic is helping. She seems less warm to me and in general seems more comfortable. Wish her blood would thicken up some, though. It is like colored water right now. Will likely take her back for a PCV check on Monday or Tuesday if that continues so we can get more tests to see if she's regenerating and if not make a plan of action.

I think you're right, just a little bounce from the green but everytime she sees one she will get more used to it.

I hope her bloodwork starts improving.
