Shadow's curve on .5 units PZI

I maintained Shadow's dosage at .5 units for one week, per vet request. He tested in the 300's most of the time(see spreadsheet). Increase to 1.0 units twice a day starting yesterday. Will do spot checks and run a curve in a week. If there is no significant change, will probably switch to Lantus. Shadow had less peeing on .5 units and no ketones(yay). We will see how the increase goes. The '403' was after he had broken into the upper cabinet and wrestled open a package of Temptations! I have had to secure the cabinet but I forgot this time and he was there like a shot! Hope everyone is doing ok!

It does make me nervous that you are not getting preshot numbers - especially increasing without knowing what his level is.. He was in decent numbers when you were testing earlier and you have no way of knowing what is happening now. IMHO, this is very dangerous. Please monitor his behavior carefully and if he acts strangely (howling, appearing dazed, hiding) get his level and intervene if necessary.
