shot 0.25 u given

however, it did not feel like the plunger pushed in when I injected so I might have not actually drawn up enough insulin and seen it well enough, it is so hard to see 0.25 u, even with my glasses on.

Shaak you little devil!! I'm thinking the gravy plus meat is too much carb for her. So we either need just the gravy, we need a lower carb (more in the 12% range), or you give her just a wee bit of the meat/gravy.

I'm glad she's feeling well and you got some badly needed rest!!

I will try a wee bit of meat and gravy next time and if that does not work I will search for FF roasted chicken feast, it is 12 on the chart. I don't know where to find it, as it is not at my market.

other than that on the chart there is

Purina One Chicken n Gravy

Proplan Urinary tract health chicken in gravy entree

Proplan weight management turkey and rice

but my market does not carry those brands. Anyone know if Kroger/Fry's, Safeway, Albertson's or Petco Or Petsmart carries them?
 
Tomorrow I should be able to be home for many hours in a row, so I will not have to give her food when she drops into the low 200's as I will be here to help her bring it back up if it goes too low. I know that is what we should be aiming for, just so much to do every day. Doing my best.

Petco and Petsmart should both have Purina/ProPlan.

It looks like there are more than a few Friskies varieties around 10-14%, mabye you can find one of those? Lots of Friskies in the supermarkets up here.
 
I'd give her the 0.25u tonight. Remember she came down pretty fast last night. If she does it tonight, you could hold off on meat/gravy and just try gravy or if you can't get just gravy, use only a tiny bit of the meat and gravy.

Not sure how you are getting the gravy but one of the best ways is to press a fork against the meat and let the gravy go into a dish.

If she doesn't do anything tonight, we should probably think about increasing back to 0.5u tomorrow if you will be around.

I think by +8.5 and +10 tomorrow, she should have depleted the duration.

Now watch....she will do just the opposite because I said that.

I'm pretty sure "feline psychology" and "reverse psychology" are interchangable.

@Cathie and Shaak Ti it means the insulin won't be pulling numbers down anymore in the cycle.
