Good plan, Cathie. More naps today? It looks like a small amount of insulin once daily is keeping her in safe numbers. You are doing a great job keeping her safe when she has that early drop, without bringing up the lower number too high.
 
I will do my best for her. I am glad she is giving me more time today, actually have to take room mate to another Dr appoint. today and take my daughter for blood work so not sure how much of this time will be spent napping. Hoping for a good day.

I worry that I am bringing the low number up to high when I feed her when she drops, I want to stop while she is at 90 but I am scared too for fear of a second drop.
 
It depends on you, Cathie. I know the dose last night made you a little nervous, but you can and did bring her up with food. She wasn't in dangerous numbers. But, she does continue to drop over time, both with pre shots and in general. So I can understand if you'd like a calmer night. How about 0.25 minus a drop? Or even minus two drops?
 
Here's the thing.....she is getting some good duration out of these shots and not rising too high when you skip so, like Sue, I wonder if her pancreas is kicking in.

What I wonder is if you try to shoot a lower dose twice a day, instead of a bit larger one once, if it would flatten her out a bit. Could you draw a consistent drop? What would you think about trying that twice a day to see what she does?
 
I don't know how consistent I could be, unfortunately my hands are not that steady and sometimes already I have to redraw the needle cause I accidentally let too much come out when I push the plunger to let out the one drop.

My hands shake, too. When you're expelling the unwanted drop of insulin from the syringe instead of pushing the plunger try holding the plunger and slowly twisting the syringe barrel. It can help to practice this technique on a used syringe. I do this now and it has given me a bit better control when measuring doses. (I always draw up a bit more insulin than I need.)
