Shaak's AMPS was 302. so two and a half hours later she is at 294. so frustrating, I am used to big drops, I am going to take her reading every hour and a half today to see if she is dropping lower somewhere in the middle. It doesn't normally happen with Novolin N but you never know. She used to drop for a few hours, but that was because her diabetes was going into remission. guess I just thought this was going to be quick and easy to get her back OTJ.

My only concern is Shaak is talking a lot, not whining, just sounds like a solid hey there. I am worried she is getting another UTI, she is not however having problems peeing, and all clumps are normal size. Solid Poop, everything actually seems normal, she has even been chasing her bee and carrying it around off and on all day. If it were not for the 200's BG's and loud meows I would think she was perfect.

Tomorrow I am having a spinal procedure done. I won't be able to give insulin in morning but am hoping to not be too groggy by evening and give evening shot of 1 unit most likely. I am thinking if she does not get into 100's soon I am going to up her to 1.25 u. scary though, she has never had more than 1 unit before. I am wondering is it normal when coming out of remission to need more insulin than ever needed before to get the lower numbers?

Braiden just started playing with her and he says her meow is her normal play with me meow. He thinks she is doing great. I told him not yet, not while her numbers are off she is not great, but he feels she is acting great, she drives him crazy jumping on top of the counter and trying to get to his food before he does. I still can't believe she can jump up on the counter at all. Even though out of remission she has come so far since last year this time. The one bad thing I got her doing though is that I had started letting her clean her can when I loaded her feeder. I decided it was a bad habit to form so I quit giving it to her, so now she sees me put it in the trash and she has started trying to get the can out of the trash, she has succeeded a few times in doing so. I have started tying the can up inside a grocery sack.
