I finally got his permanent insulin today: Prozinc, 2 units every 12 hours. Well...Maahes really hates being injected. So far I can draw the syringe up okay. I noticed there were tons of air bubbles in the vial, and triple checked to make sure there were none in the syringe.

Any suggestions on how to make the injection go easier? I'm injecting while he's eating, so he's distracted.

Is Maahes growling or fighting you, or being squirmy and won't hold still? Can you describe in a little further detail the difficulties you are having?

He jumps away and lunges. No biting, not yet! I'm using a 29 gauge needle. It's definitely been really hard figuring this injection thing out. Been trying to inject nearer to his neck on his side, and also nearer to his flank.
