Sorry it took so long but the moving trucks came on Saturday morning and it’s been total mayhem here ever since.

Len, Leo and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the encouragement during Leo’s diabetes and the OTJ trial!!! Your support during these past months has been absolutely incredible, and I thank my lucky stars for the day I discovered the FDMB.

We had no idea remission was even possible at first, but that was ok, we were prepared to give Leo insulin for the rest of his life. The neuropathy however, was a different story, we were told nothing could be done about it and we had almost given up hope. But we saw a before and after video on the FDBM of a cat with terrible neuropathy and after regulation and Zobaline this kitty was chasing around a yard with other cats!

Other than FB, which I pretty much stopped visiting because I was too busy with Leo, and technical forums for work, I had never experienced anything like this. I’ve gained a huge group of friends all working for the same cause and I’m in love with all the sweet sugar cats with their funny little quirks and personalities.

Tons of gratitude to all the dear Beans that were with us during the journey. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Kitties, please surf safely and watch out for the sharkies!!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Congratulations on getting him OTJ, sorry I missed the party.

Sounds like you have had your handsfuhan with moving, how great of Leo to make things easier for you by heading to the falls.

Remember he is still diabetic, just diet controlled so keep him on his LC food we've seen kitties fall out of remission if HC food is reintroduced.
Speaking from personal experience keep a check on his teeth as dental issues can also knock them out of remission. George has been OTJ for 2 1/2 years, problems with his mouth last Feb resulted in him having to go back on insulin for a short time. I still test once a week (for ages I tested every day) that way I can pick up any BG issues quickly before we get in a mess.

Welcome to da Falls Leo

Great work on obtaining the OTJ status. Hope you enjoy the new home and remember to continue to test at least once a month. Davidson was in remission for 4 hrs, then within 6 weeks from a great test he was back on insulin from dental infections. As mentioned, once diabetic- always diabetic, just controlled. Random and regular tests at least can catch anything should it arise.....good luck!

Thanks for the advice Gill, I won't forget and I'm keeping a close eye on his teeth. :bighug:
