Your EVO dry foods for cats

Hi,

My name is Ann Pettersson and I am writing to you from Sweden. I'd like to know if you have any retailers selling your different EVO dry foods for cats, in Sweden?

I have a little diabetic cat and have learnt from others in USA using EVO for their diabetic cats, that EVO is the best there is out there for diabetic cats, but we don't seem to be able to get it here in Sweden. I would very much like so.

Thanks for your time,
Ann Pettersson and little diabetic Simba in Sweden"

We envy you all, Simba and I (and Gustav) that you can get it in US, but we can't get it here. :-)

Ann,
Did you contact them from this site?
http://www.evopet.com/

There's a 'Where to buy' tab but it does not work. You could go by their Contact Us and ask them about their 'Where to Buy' info as their site tab doesn't work. It's supposed to say info about outside North America

Yea, I did check the outside US Where to buy, and they can for instance get it in Australia, but none of the Nordic countries ... typical. We have this Animali website, who delivers to the door and if scrolling down to the left one can see the manufactures they carry http://animail.se/katt/produkter/kattmat?p=2 .

None seem to be the low carb I want.

It would have been nice if they would have wanted to take in the EVO too. In the 7 kg bags, so one 7 kg bag last 1 ½-2 months.

I wonder if you could approach a supplier local and present info about EVO and how it's low carb and great for diabetics,,, something along that line. And maybe they could find out that Natura is a great line to add to their usual offerings.

Well... to be fair... you sent it Saturday and it's only been 1.5 business days here in the US so they might just not have found an answer for you yet.

Gayle, now I am confused

Who is manufacturing the EVO?

Is Natura the company?

I've also seen EVO been called Innova Evo .... is Innova the manufacturer or is it the full name for EVO?

~confused~:-) If I talk to a local supplier/retailer, I'd like to know such things :-)

LOL

BTW Natura makes Innova and EVO. I've seen it called Innova EVO too. They also make a few other brands. AND they are owned by Proctor & Gamble. That's a big turn off for a lot of people and I almost didn't opt to feed Hobbs that food because of that but they had the best phosphorous and carb numbers and I decided that his health was more important than who owned the company. And plus really, as if I don't use other P&G products, I'm addicted to the smell Cheer laundry detergent!!!

Ooooohhhh, now you really got my attention, SabrinaFaire .... Proctor & Gamble .....

I used to work for them - in marketing - with a brand consumer products portfolio for the Swedish market ...

Wonder if they want to pay me (again) for breaking up the Swedish market and marketing for the EVO ...hmm

I'll check out the Natura link

FINALLY! I got this discouraging email respons from them. At least they are candid!

"Thank you for your interest in Innova, EVO, HealthWise and California Natural pet foods. At this time it is the policy of Natura Pet Products to not do business within the EU market. This is due to the difficult, expensive and ever changing regulatory requirements that are imposed upon American ingredient suppliers and pet food manufacturers.

We may reconsider our decision at such time that the EU regulatory environment becomes more reasonable. I will keep your email on file and contact you should there be an opportunity to do business in the future.

I want to thank you again for your interests and I am very sorry that we cannot assist you at this time.

Unfortunately Simba will be dead before any of this above happens. He is 16 now and can't wait that long.

Sigh.

Hi Ann -

We're really new, and a month ago I was quite dilusional to think I could get Grayson on some dry food. I was looking for EVO as well, and checked with a pet store in Raleigh, NC where they carried it and the staff was extremely helpful. In addition to the EVO, the girl I spoke with recommended Orijen and one other brand - I believe she said they were recommended by the National Glycemic Institute for their low-carb status. With his numbers still climbing into the 400s, Grayson's probably not going to see much dry kibble in his future. You may want to check with one of the suppliers that carries Orijen and see if that will work for you. I believe the lower carb varieties were salmon & ___???, and the cat & kitten ____??? & chicken (I remember it kind of rhymed!). Good luck getting something that's good for your cat and that they like!
