Seemingly impossible BGs-How can this be?

Last night Squallie's PMPS was 183 (it has recently been running much higher). Instead of his usual dose of 2.75, I gave him a fat 2.25, to ensure his safety. His numbers rose and stayed high all night until he hit 172 at +8, and finished up at 425 at PMPS. How can this even be? It seems like his insulin is not working at all for him during the night, and I don't get it. Nothing - NOTHING - is different at night! I am absolutely at the end of my rope. :arghh:

I do not have advice--I feel like there are many of us having this issue right now which again makes me wonder about he energy of the seasons-it stinks!

It worked last night, eventually. Maybe he went lower after the blue and bounced for the amps

I see this sometimes with ProZinc. A bean shoots a lower than usual pmps (often below 170) and the levels rise in the beginning instead of going down. Not sure what it's about but it happens. Maybe some kind of reaction to insulin on a low number - an immediate bounce?

I know of members who have tracked moon phases alongside BG and there was a strong correlation between full moons and BG anomalies. Makes sense really - full moons can most definitely influence cats' behaviour (and it affects me, too).

I totally agree Mogs. My son and I are most definitely affected by moon cycles, yet my brother is not. My kitty tends ( as I do) to be a little off the beaten path at full moon time, so I tend to not get too worked up about it, :)

Joshi's number was higher this morning than the last couple of days too...I did not realize it was a full moon however. I should have known because all of our cats were batsh** crazy last night. ;)

Yeah, it's a little discouraging when you have a good string of days and then that weird number pops up. I always think I've figured out a possible cause, only to be disproven. :(

Same story here at our house, with Hannah. Pretty good numbers for the past few days, then last night's full moon seems to have kept her up all night, prowling around. I don't think she slept in her bed all night. Yep, this morning she had a big-ol' black preshot, something she doesn't get much anymore (anti-jinx). I never thought about any of this being related to the moon. Hmmmmm, more food for thought.
