Seeking dosing advice -- away for 10 hrs Fri & Sat

Hi sugar-kitty lovers
I`m planning on going hiking in the mountains tomorrow and again on Saturday, and will not be able to test Lulu for 10 hrs each day after her AM shots. She`s been mostly testing green over the last several days, so I`m not sure whether it would be safe to give her a regular dose each morning or shoot low. Of course, the autofeeder will be stocked each day. Appreciate any help you can offer.

will you be able to get a +3? that seems to be her lowest .... and if so, give her a little boost with food...
otherwise,
I might give a slightly reduced dose... and if she self-feeds.... feel okay.

I have to do that on saturday, won't be around all day. But mine won't eat while I'm gone.
 
Thanks, Rhiannon, unfortunately, I'm leaving about an hour after her shot. Sometimes they eat, sometimes they don't when I'm away, and it's hard for me to tell which of the three are eating. Think I'll give .75u and stock the auto-feeder. I'd cancel the hike, but I've committed to drive--the groups I hike with carpool.
 
Can you get up a little earlier and get a +11 or +10? Then you'll have an idea if she's rising or falling at AMPS.
 
Thank you for that reminder, Carla :). I must have read the protocol hundreds of times and I keep forgetting about the importance of those early morning tests. That`s what I`ll do.
 
If you're kitty doesn't reliably eat, can someone stop by to check on her and encourage some munching?

You could also reduce the dose to 0.75u.

I agree with @Sienne and Gabby if you could have someone stop by the house and at the very list make sure that Lulu has eaten that would be something. If not I would agree that a reduced dose might be in order, especially if you never know if she will eat when you are away.
 
Thanks Sienne and Tina. I know she eats, because she her weight is stable, in fact she`s gained a little bit over the past few weeks. A friend said she`s check in and see how Lulu`s doing.
 
I just gave my opinion on your condo for today. You can just change the subject line of your regular daily condo (thread) with special questions like this. That way it's all in one place for each day.

Hope you have a wonderful time! It sounds like a great opportunity! I wouldn't be looking to pick up any snakes, though . . . :eek:
