Zeke is 168 tonight before I go to work. Last night he was 191. He is going down in the evening, I guess he is bouncing in AM, (Please see SS today),so should I decrease tonight before I go to work, from 2.1 to maybe 1.75 and hold there? No curve yet, sorry, have planned on next weekend. I am going to decrease tonight unless someone here says different. Thanks.

Is there any way you could get a few more tests in the daytime? If you work at night and can't be there, it sure would be good to know if he's hitting lower numbers in the middle of the day...would love to know what's going on at night. Those red starts could be an indicator that he's going low at night and you're missing all the action - those could be bounces -if so, he's clearing them really fast...which isn't likely...but not impossible. Really need to see how low he's going on this dose...I'd be reluctant to change the dose...he's just starting to get some good numbers - any chance you could give the usual dose and if you're not going to be there, leave out some MC to keep him safe until you get home and can test?

I can't get daytime numbers, I am sleeping. I get nighttime numbers when I am off. (that is my daytime even when I am off I keep night shift hrs.) Did you see curve on 8/17? That was done through night. I will be able to get a curve this weekend. I went ahead and gave him 1.75 tonight, before I heard from anyone, I had to leave. I'm not sure if I should keep him at 1.75 now? What do you think. Sorry, but I had to leave and didn't feel good giving him a full dose and being gone until 8a. Next time this happens what to do?

First I'd suggest that you set up your post for today like this:
? Zeke 9/10 AMPS ### - how to handle lower pre-shot numbers - please help!

Since your post received so few views it would be very helpful to post with your kitties name, the date and a little info - and then a question. You'll get more responses this way.

I'm off the computer today (for surgery) so can't help - but hopefully with your new post today you'll get some other suggestions about how to get additional data. It's very difficult to make dosing decisions without knowing how low the insulin is taking Zeke.

Thank you. I realize I need more for you to go on. It’s very hard doing this alone with my schedule. Hope you all can understand.
