SDMA TEST FOR EARLY KIDNEY DISEASE

Those of you who go to vets that use IDEXX Lab should notice that they have added a new test that is supposed to diagnose kidney disease early, when only 25-40% of the kidneys are not functioning as opposed to using creatinine which by the time it registers in the blood already 75% is lost. There is no charge for the test and it's added to the chem 25. It's new so I have no idea how accurate it is and won't find out because my vet is now part of VCA and tgey use Amtech. Has anyone seen this on your panel yet?

What is the test called? This is Sly's blood work from a month ago. See anything on it that looks like it might be it?

It's not there. I wonder if the vet needs to request it. I read about this on the yahoo FPS list.
