Scooter update - All is good!

Hi Folks!

Well Scooter numbers remain normal 73 for today. Jack numbers are great as well. I found out the hard way even the kibble treats had to be disposed of as well. So no more treats! Although most of the cats around here think moving to soft food is the best thing since sliced fish! :-D

Scooter has managed to find bagels and lox, a loaf of bread the kids left on the counter. Crackers, doritos and popcorn in June. We have the new sick kitty (Tater) who is getting a lot of my time so Scooter is a little jealous. :lol: So I put them both in the room together at night and it seems to be working. Scooter is now concerned for his welfare during the day. Tater is ready finally to be neutered this week. What a long road for poor little Tater.

For those of you I have yet to meet my Scooter was really sick with diabetes and we managed to get him well here at FDMB! Don't give up just follow the advice of these amazing and kind folks and before long they will become a great part of your life.

Hi Linda, what a great update. So glad Scooter is still doing well. Scooter!!! What a crazy little carb monster.

Great to hear from you, and even better to know that Scooter continues to do well. We use you two as an example a lot to new members that are hesitant to get their kitties off the dry stuff! So you are helping people even when you aren't here!

Good news about Tater, and how cool that he and Scooter are bonding. :-D

I always have to laugh at Scooter's determination to get contraband! :lol: I'm glad he's getting on with little Tater and we send the little guy good neutering vines.

Hi Linda - great to see a Scooter update, as well as his latest carb tally. :lol: :lol: Neko is insanely jealous of his ability to get at carbs.

I'm glad Scooter and Tater seem to be getting along together. Vines sent for safe snipping.

Great to hear Scooter is not letting his carb hunting abilities weaken :lol: :lol: Bread MUST go straight into the fridge here for the same reasons! We have also decided that the microwave is a wonderful kitty proof cupboard :lol:

we put our bread in the cupboard instead of on the counter because the kittens will get into it.

and just now, Frodo has been sitting by my discarded plate that has a corn cob on it, reaching his little paw out to snag the corn. i already chased him off the kitchen counter where he was like a little vampire, hunched over and gnawing on the corn husks. :lol:
