So, on 9/21 PMPS Bubba was too low to shoot and I had to stall 2 hours after he ate so I could safely shoot him. Then again on 9/24 AMPS he was to low, again I had to stall 2 hours after eating to shoot. I had not recovered his schedule the first time when it happened. So now we are 2 hours off scheduled meal times. My confusion is that I have been feeding him most of his meal at his usual time which is about 2 hours prior to the new shot time. And I save about 1/3 of the meal to give him prior to shooting him. My question is: Is that enough food at his shot time for the insulin (roughly 1 1/2 oz of food )
The reason I am questioning it is because today, he is going down quicker the first 1/2 of the cycle. At +5.25 he is at 129 and he usually drops later in the cycle. I will monitor him as he has 7 more hours with this insulin shot. I don't know if it is because of less food with the shot or just Bubba being Bubba, unpredictable....Any thoughts would be appreciated.
