? Scarf barf

How do you get your cats not to scarf and barf,mine does this often,even when given small amounts .
 
Idjit used to do that too, and I think I helped solve the problem by spreading the food out on a flat plate..he had to work a little harder and slower to get the food. I also provide smaller more frequent meals, but I see you are trying that. How often and in what amounts are the meals? If kitty has gone a long while between meals, he may just be over hungry and that's why he scarfs.
An alternative, if you aren't around to serve His or Her Majesty more often, maybe consider a timed feeder with multiple cups that open at certain times of the day and/or night.
