Hello all,

Re: Ultrasound of Abdomen, have any of you heard of this term?
Reading the vet’s report, I came across this phrase under Abdominal Ultrasound:
scant peritoneal effusion

This has me FREAKED OUT, because 8 years ago Scout developed chylothorax in his pleural cavity, it was really suffocating to his lungs, and had to have a triple surgery to correct it.
We almost lost him, before, during & after the operation. His recovery was nothing short of a miracle.

I know the pleural cavity is not the same as the abdominal cavity, and they are describing the effusion as “scant” - so I don’t know if I should be this worried (but I am). And dr. is gone for the day.....

Do any of you have any wisdom or experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I so appreciate that link, I’ve read & re-read the article & have it for reference when I see the dr. tmrw. And thank you for the prayers.
