Scabby ears

I have to admit, I'm not always super-adept at the ear pokes, and Melek has a few little scabs on his ears from my mis-pokes. Anyone else have this problem? Can I use Neosporin or something like that on his ears to spee up healing? Thanks for your help!

neosporin would be fine to use. as would polysporin or triple AB

are you using light pressure after the poke? that should help prevent scabbing.

I do staunch the blood with gauze afterward, but he does start wriggling to get to the treats by then, maybe I should keep the gauze on longer. I'll try the Neosporin - thanks!
