Well we went to a new vet today to get a check up. They said both of the girls have no bacteria (yay!) but are slightly inflamed. I'm giving an anti inflammatory for the next 3 days and he said to call next week to update him on how they are. He said if they were acting sick, he might be able to advise over the phone some now that he's seen them to avoid stress of bringing them in. I really liked this new vet...and much cheaper than the old one too!
Naturally, he recommended a urinary diet..hills, royal canin, or purina. I had actually considered Purina before since I know it's got good phosphorus levels but I think the carbs are higher...and even though they are civvies, I try to keep low carb!
He thinks some of this might be stress...not sure how true that is or not, but we shall see.
He did say that they had very dilute urine which could be a sign of renal disease but he checked bloodwork and said kidney values are great...and suggested bloodwork once a year to check on it.
Let's all hope this is the end of sickness for a bit...I need a break!
Thanks for all your good vines and thoughts and help!
