Hi everyone,
I haven't been here long, and don't know if you remember my original story, but I came here in a panic not too long ago after I gave my girl a MASSIVE insulin overdose (10x the normal amount, twice a day, for six days). She was in the hospital for several days as a result, and while she had a couple of days after she was released where I gave her insulin, pretty soon afterwards her numbers dropped so low I was afraid to shoot. I continued to monitor her, but they were holding steady at a number I wasn't comfortable shooting.
I left her with a friend while I went on vacation, with instructions on how to test for ketones. They stayed negative for the entire duration, and she was happy and eating the entire time I was away. Finally got her home last night, and checked her BG level just a few minutes ago. It's still in the 'normal' range, at 97.
I hardly dare hope... but could this mean she's gone into remission? Is it still too early to tell?
