427 shot 2 U Sam is on Amox liquid his second dose on the new bottle. Hope this makes him feel a bit better. He was purring at lunch and in my face for a bit of hamburger. Maybe it's working already. He did eat some FF turkey also.

Ate a couple of times this afternoon. +6 342

Hi shot 2U

Hope he is feeling better soon! I saw in your SS notes Lori is leaving.... ?!? Hope everything is ok?

I wish I had some insights for you as to his #s, but I don't. Hopefully others have been able to help you get some insight. If not, and/or if the #s don't improve once this infection is cleared up, I would probably post on Health and/or here and ask for suggestions. The dose looks too low, but then with the occasional lows you have gotten out of the blue, I'd be hesitant to raise the dose. But holding here or lowering doesn't make sense to me either. I'm really not sure what to make of it, unless the #s can be linked to eating or some other explainable factor (e.g. gets dry food, but didn't on those occasional days of good #s, or something like that that would really explain it).

Yes, Dr. Maness sold her practice and is leaving town to move to Tokyo! She will be here for another month or so. The new doctors are very nice and have a great understanding of the diabetes. So, I think we won the vet lottery. I'd like to up Sam's dose but she wants me to leave it at the 2U for now, until Sammy gets off the Amox. He goes back the 14th for a check.

Glad to hear the new vets are also nice and know about diabetes. It's wonderful when you have a doctor you can rely on. How often do they think you need to check ketones?
