+7 our meter 436 Theirs 514. Of course high from stress our meter reads low.
Oh wow, what can I say. dancing_cat This woman knows her feline diabetes. She is very up to date. She did every thing I asked, checked our meter against theirs, we talked about foods, she suggested kitten food for Sam, more protein less carbs, said we will do things baby steps. First, the UTI, he has a mild case, antibiotics to get over that. Then a check in a week after he finishes the meds. (reminder, I need to change appt, I made it for next week, duh!) Then we will see how the insulin is working. Stay at the 2U unless something drastic happens but be sure to call her with any dosage changes. Keep testing and we will do a curve after he's over the UTI, they will loan us a meter to use. If the insulin is not up to snuff, she may want to change him to Glargine. She said Sam had a heart murmur, well I have one too. 1 out of 5. Nothing to worry about. For his age he is doing well with the disease but some problems to be addressed. His teeth are fine, look great in fact. Some staining but no gum disease. Did get to talk to her husband, he's more a orthopedic guy. Is very interested in seeing Reo and talking with Charlie about maybe blocking the nerves to the damned stump they left when they did surgery. He also was interested in the pony, Chester. He is going to check to see if they have a box to xray his feet.
So, I am a very happy camper with these new vets. We'll see how it goes down the road but I think they'll work. It's about time I found someone that just cares! I told the tech to get all the animals records from our old vet. I am going to take them all there! So, they pick up 4 cats and one dog. (and maybe even a pony). flip_cat
