AMPS 147 Shot 2.2U. We know Sam will rise and I am trying to keep him to schedule.

+9 518

DH didn't get a +6 since he thought I didn't want one. With Sam always going up I thought I'd try to keep him in the blues. Didn't work I guess, must be a rebound from the higher dose this morning. DH said Sam did well today, he begged a couple of small meals and then went out side, rolled, slept some, begged more food, acted like he usually does. I would have checked him at noon but I just ran home to feed horses and a chick check and he ate then too. Dh was gone at lunch too, at the MIL's since she's out of the hospital now. Sorry to alarm everyone. Thought I was doing okay.

I agree with Sue. At least get a +3 to confirm that he will zoom up for you guys. I would consider a +3, +6 and +9 today with that dose.

gosh, i keep wondering how it's going with the samster today...wish sue would write us.. confused_cat
 
I see on Sam's spreadsheet a couple times where he was in the 150's and you shot 1u and 1.5u and ended up with a high pre shot the next cycle, which I'm assuming is why you went higher on the dose this time. Keep us posted on how Sam does today.
 
did you say sam ate the chicks????
and yep, i'm thinking if not rebound what else could it possibly be? may take a couple of days to clear so stay steady. i would shoot on the lower side tonight because if sam went low he's insulin sensitive right now. and you can go pretty darn low with no symptoms.
 
I am thinking rebound, but Sam is like no other cat so it's probably a Sam thing. Don't get me wrong, I should have just done a 1U instead of 2.2U but I didn't want him doing what he did. So, no more bigish shots on below 200's.

No offense to anyone! I'm trusting the chicks were NOT eaten, so it's only a rhetorical question!
 
:lol: :lol: :lol: actually I read the word 'them' not 'then' and my first thought was ....gosh, she's pretty casual about sam eatting her little chicks! :sad:
like and oh by the way tomtom ate my new puppy before i got a chance to test him so i left for work and will get a test later, bye folks. :lol: :lol:
