Hi:
I have been giving Sampson Budesonide mixed with about a tablespoon of his food for a little over a week and he continues to vomit and have diarrhea about every two days. Last night he felt hot to the touch and didn't seem himself. He is 17 years old and I know that he is getting older. He seems better today but I took his sugar this a.m. and he is at 275 before he ate. He is not on insulin any longer, we had a crash last November as he self regulated after a long acting shot of prednisone. He has also lost a lot of weight (a full pound in a little over a month). I feel so bad for him this vomiting can't be good, he can't seem to hold down his food. I do mix the food to give him a variety. It is fancy feast. I use the grilled with gravy, classic and the extra gravy food. He has IBD flare up for years for the last year it has gotten really bad. Any help or suggestions that you good people could give me would be appreciated. Is there other alternatives for IDB other than pred or budesonide? Any diet changes? Should I be giving him the same food twice a day over time to see if the food is irritating him?
Thanks,
