Today is Sam's one year insulinversary for his second diagnosis.

He's gone from being a wild kitty that would never hold still and hissed and bit and growled and ran away during testing, to a sweet, purring, cuddly kitty who reminds me quite insistently when it's time for a test.

Okay, he's still a little wild, but much more tame than he was a year ago!

Of course he starts this month in the middle of another pancreatitis flare, but I'm learning to respond quicker and manage them better, so the bad days are less and not as severe as they were.

Here is a picture of him sleeping deeply in a rare Seattle sunbeam:

There are no words to express my gratitude for the love and wisdom in this group. We wouldn't have made it through the last few years (and this year in particular) without the community here. Thank you for walking with us through this journey. :bighug:

Happy insulinversary! That picture is so sweet. He couldn't possibly be wild at all. :D

You are one of the superstars of this forum. So, thank YOU for all of the advice and support you provide to so many of us. :bighug:

Oh my goodness. You all are making me cry :bighug::bighug::bighug: Honestly, this community is amazing. Thank you all so much for your kind words and encouragement!

Sam is finding his appetite again today, which is nice to see, although his BG is still higher than it should be. Hopefully as his appetite is returning that will correct again soon as well.

I hope all of you and your kitties are doing well tonight!

:bighug::bighug::bighug:What a sweet picture of Sam.
Glad Sam has his appy. Vines to him and you for a quick recovery from this flare up.

You are one of the first on FDMB to make me feel so comfortable to ask all the questions I needed to ask. I was scared to death in the beginning. Thank you for all your support since we came on board.:)

Djamila! Sorry to be a bit late to this thread. I was just thinking myself that it's nearly Pita's insulin-versay also! I forgot how close our little guys seem to be. You are an incredible person who is caring, supportive and understanding to everyone's needs. You have helped and reassured me more times than I could really explain and are an invaluable resource to this community. Sam is a very lucky boy to have you as his momma and that face is precious. THANK YOU for all that you do
