My cat Jazpurr was just diagnosed with diabetes. Blood glucose was 500. I am on a very tight budget and was told that the tests the first few months, insulin and food would run me $500 a month. Need advice for the most inexpensive insulin and where I get it. Still want something safe though. He already eats FF classic pates but I have 3 cats that I will probably ween off dry. Any suggestions? I'm feeling very overwhelmed and sad for my baby. My arms are all scratched up just getting him in the carrier for the first visit and now he

I feel your pain initially it is expensive my cat was diagnosed the end of August blood test where $264.The vet will tell you what type of insulin to use my cats cost $140 and that should last about 2 months. My cat has to go every week for a glucose and weight check which will cost $10.Eventually as long as everything is going well she won't have to go as much.My cat is difficult to catch as well.I have to trick her.It is very stressful and I hope she will get used to it.You may want to try chewy for your food. Good luck to you and your cat.Hang in there.
