Rusty: moving to a new home!

Hi Everyone,

We are very excited to report that Rusty (DCIN) is moving from Phoebe's home to Ella's. This big, handsome, friendly guy needs to be the only cat in a household. Phoebe is sorry to see him go (but her other cats are not sorry to bid him farewell!). Ella and DH are delighted to welcome Rusty. They miss Stu and want to give another diabetic kitty a home. If all goes well, Rusty will be in his new home in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State in a few weeks. Please wish him bon voyage!

p.s. to everyone in LL: I posted this on both the Health and Community boards. But I particularly wanted to tell you all that Rusty and I will be looking forward to opening a condo in a few weeks. Stu's memory will be honored by our caring for another fine kitty. Edward and I are thrilled that all is working out.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Rusty is one super lucky boy...Ella/Edward we are soooo happy for you!!! How incredibly wonderful of you to
give this sweet boy a home. We can't wait to hear all about him.....and Mannie can always use another Sous Chef!
 
Aww Ella. I like to be a smart-aleck most of the time, but I read your post and just have tears running down my cheeks. What a beautiful thing to do.

I'm glad to hear that Rusty is moving to your house! I helped transport Rusty the last time he traveled. I'm sure he will travel well again.
Apprentice Chef school sounds like a plan for Rusty!

Rusty is one lucky little fella. I am so happy this has worked out for you guys. What a wonderful thing - If he doesn't cook, I'm sure that Mannie will work on that in short order. Oh my goodness, I'm all choked up!

Ella, how wonderful that you and Edward are opening your heart and home to a new kitty who needs you. Its a match made in heaven....(wondering now if Stu had something to do w/this). Congrats and looking forward to seeing y'all back on the message board with news about Rusty.

Ella, I too am crying tears of joy for you and Edward. How wonderful of you to welcome Rusty into your home and hearts. I'm just thrilled for Rusty! He is one lucky boy! Can't wait to hear all about him.

Ella and Edward, congratulations on you new kitty! Everyone certainly is hitting the lottery on this....Rusty because he couldn't ask for better beans and you guys because Rusty will certainly fill your home and hearts. You guys are awesome! Some people do not choose to adopt special needs kitties, especially if they already had one, due to the constraints they put on their lives. I'm so glad that you are not one of those people and have chosen to open up your home and hearts to Rusty. Way to go!!!!!
