Rusty is home from the dental - Thanks for the good vibes

Rusty is getting dental work done tomorrow -- always worrisome.

We'll probably give a half dose of Levemir tonight, because he is not supposed to have food after midnight.

No insulin in the morning, and we'll send along some foods for after his procedure.

The beans may not get much sleep tonight with 5 cats reminding us there is NO FOODZ!!!

Rusty, remember it was fine the last time. Do it again, just like you did before.

Hugs to the beans! Seriously, Phoebe, he went thru with flying colors last time. We gave water in the morning and no insulin. Also, I cut the insulin in half the evening of the surgery as well.

I will be thinking of all of you. Let me know how it goes, please. Nervous foster mom nailbite_smile

Hi Claudia - thanks -- I'll be sure to let you know. He should be ready to come home between 4 and 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Well, I just called a few minutes ago (usual pickup time range is 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) -- he was still under, and had to have several extractions including two fangs, poor guy.

Will post more later - I'll be picking him up closer to 6 p.m.

Rusty is home - still a little bit loopy, but hungry. His BG is 159 and he is chowing down on Fancy Feast.

He only has 5 teeth now, and the vet said he will probably lose the rest eventually.

I had another session with Dawn Allen this morning, but I'll make another post later. Have to run to band practice now.

Glad to hear you are home and on the mend. Sorry you had to lose so many teeth. Hope you will feel better.

Now beans you can relax, it's over. 159 wow, he did good!
