Running low lately, what should I do?

Hey everyone! My boys pre-shot numbers have been lower the last few days, and I'm worried about him going hypo. It's really difficult to test him at the 6hr mark on work days, because I'd have to test him two hours after I go to bed, but I set an alarm last night and he was at 57 Should I lower him down again, to .5u? I lowered from 1u to .75u after someone suggested it, because he was dipping down too low for comfort, and that had seemed to help. I was previously using a cat calibrated meter, and don't have much data from then.
He's kind of all over the place some days, I can't really make sense of why, other than maybe the times he eats kibble. I haven't been doing this super long, so I don't know if I should be worried, if I need to make some changes, or what. Thanks for everything you folks do, I'd be totally lost without you all!

You're doing fine!! I want to encourage you to read over the SLGS dosing instructions. When Bee's numbers drop below 90, you reduce the dose. With Lantus, dosing is based on the lowest number in the cycle, not on the pre-shot test information.

Would you be able to adjust your cat's shot time or is that impossible given your schedule. I moved Gabby's shot time to 5:00 (and I'm not a morning person!). It allowed me to shoot and get a couple of tests before I left for work and I was home by no later than 5:30 for her PM shot. The earlier shot time meant I wasn't up ridiculously late if I needed to monitor at night.

I wouldn't say that your cat is "all over the place." From what's on your spreadsheet, he's never testing over the 200s. He may respond to some of the lower numbers with a small amount of a bounce, but he's looking good. You really need to follow the dosing guidelines though if you're hoping to get your cat better regulated. With SLGS, you don't hold the dose for more than a week if numbers are consistently outside of normal range.
