Running high

Kahlua has been running high for awhile now. She's been to the vet and is all good except for the Hyperthyroidism. Is the pill causing the higher numbers? It's coated in sugar.....I was told it's not enough to cause problems but.......sugar......and she's so high at times......how can I get her green more often?

I'm still seeing some nadirs in the 50's and 60's. Not sure what you mean by "running high". I'm not seeing a lot of difference between the before and after treatment started. Hyperthyroidism can cause insulin resistance. Cats treated for it can see resistance drop along with their numbers. Any chance those high numbers are bounced?

Can you get the medication compounded without sugar?

I see what you mean.....it's the yellows.....I was going to ask the vet about getting some of her meds without the coating and see if that makes a difference. I'll be back there on Monday to recheck her t4, so I'll ask. I'll check her more often next time she heads down into the greens.
