Maybe she's popping up to compensate for too much insulin?

I have no idea. This is a whole new sugar-dance now.

I guess that Robin will be able to come up with a new & improved scale over the weekend.

I was feeling confident about picking doses....now I am 'guessing'.

How does Robin figure this dose scale stuff out????

You look to see what kind of drop you are getting on what kind of dose with what range of preshot, using recent data.

Maybe the nadir shifted later. The 2 days before, the evening pre-shot was lower than the midcycle tests.

ohmygod_smile I took calculus, quantitative analysis, and statistics in college....but we didn't cover this kind of analyzing !!!

Do we have a formula??? ;-)

What I've done is to take about 1-2 weeks of recent data and put it in a spreadsheet

Delete any rows without a mid-cycle test

Sort it by dose and pre-shot glucose ranges (ex 200-300, 300-400 etc)

Make a column which calculates the difference between pre-shot and approximate nadir value for any rows with this data

For a given starting range (ex 250-350) and dose (ex 2 units, look at the maximum drop a given dose had.

Figure the range starting 100 mg/dL higher may need more insulin and add 0.25 to the dose for that
Figure the range starting 100 mg/dL lower may need less insulin and subtract 0.25 to the dose for that

Experiment - Try this out and be prepared if the lower range heads to 50 mg/dL
Adjust up or down if the estimate doesn't work.

Its a trial and error approach.

I printed it out and will try to set up a spreadsheet. Laptop still not fixed.....have a ton of computer stuff to create/update/etc. for work....damn thing keeps shutting off....tired of rebooting a zillion times a day.

Thanks BJ.

If you can, pick up an external USB connectable hard drive and get your important data off the laptop - it sounds like it is about to fail and you'll lose everything if it does.

PMPS is lower than midcycle test again. What now?

I guess I should be testing every 2 hours now with this crazy stuff going on....YES??

Well....NO....Not enough strips to do that.
