Sneaking up. But if she doesn't come down on her own, a tiny dose will do it.

If I have to give her a little bit, does that mean I have to start the OTJ trial over again?

Yes, it does. But look on the bright side. .01 every few days is not a bad deal. Let's see if she brings herself down. No chance of contraband sneaking last night?

No contraband. Maybe she was reading my posts here about the OTJ thing and jinxed it.

Time for (+5) test. Can't wait to see what it is. nailbite_smile

105 @ 1:25PM (+5)

you can replace up to 20% of the canned food with plain chicken or poultry, boosting the protein and reducing the carb percentage further.

Or check for the lowest carb versions of what you can afford to feed.

She's dropping on her own - good sign. Would be nice to get back to double digits...

I am going to do some research on prices/etc. sometime this week.

Funny thing about 4 of my civies. They do not like any kind of "people" food....including meat. :o
The other 2 civies will grab food off of my plate if they have the chance.
Have to watch RumpelT like a hawk...she will eat ANYTHING.

I would really like to get all 7 of them on a good lo-carb dry food (if that is okay) ... so I can let them graze during the day. Maybe that won't be good for RumpelT though. Of course, they would still get their wet food also. Comments are appreciated.

The 3 low carb dry foods I recall are

Evo Cat and Kitten - pet supply stores - moderately expensive
Stella and Chewey's freeze dried - expensive
Young Again 0 Carb - pricey but supposedly they eat less so it works out. Also internet only

That said, dry food may set them up for renal disease as they age. Read more about Feline CRF and see if you want to risk your cat developing that and then having to treat it with subcutaneous food injections, anti-nausea meds, phosphorus binders in the food, possible protein restriction in the diet, and so on.

Ahhhhh....don't think I want to deal with that. Thank you.
