Greetings all you wonderful people.
So, you all are aware of the drama I have been having with Roy.
Yesterday, I slept. Roy slept. Too late to call the Vet.
He had some FF for his afternoon brekkie, then some more around 6ish and a tad more around 9ish.
No testing was done or insulin given.
He was given roughly a tad under 1/2 can of FF for breakfast this morning at 5:30am.
I just tested him at 8am and he is at 10.6 YAY!!!
I just spoke with my Vet and he said that when he initially tested Roy at the clinic his # was 20.2 and he had 3+ sugar in his urine. Definitely diabetic.
The Vet told me to lay off the insulin....test Roy at 4pm today before he eats and call him.
He says maybe the combo of the diet and a a couple bangs of insulin put system in order. He does not know. If Roy's #'s are low again when I test him at 4, the Vet has offered to buy back the insulin.
My only concern right now, is that Roy seems kind of lethargic. Sort of like his get up and go has got up and went. I be thinking, maybe, just maybe, with all the crap he has experienced in the past few days, he may just be tired out. Maybe I never really noticed real close as to how he behaves in the house. Then I think, Holy Doodle, in human terms, Roy is in his 90s !!
I'd appreciate hearing what you all have to say.
Kindest regards,
Cheryl
