Rocky's numbers are just a smidge too high so I decided to start insulin injections again at a very small dose.
I really want a strong remission and don't want to find myself in a situation that I have to start all over again when his numbers start climbing up.
If his numbers were going down a little I would carry on with the trial but I think they are just too high.
Last night 2.5 hours after his meal his BG was 8.8 and this morning 7.
I hope that a short course of small doses to keep him in a better range would make a difference.
Let's wait and see.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions dear members.
Best regard to everybody.

I think this is a situation where you have to go with your instincts, Marlena - you are very good at thinking this through so I'm sure you're doing the right thing for now at least. Just keep a very close eye, of course!

Awww jeez - I was rooting for you guys! I think the strong remission idea is a good one. I'm not an expert though! From what I've read here, some kitties just need those small doses a little longer! In the meantime, he's staying nice and controlled with great numbers and that is a win!

We are doing ok.
I think Rocky probably needs very small doses for sometime or there is something else going on and I will take him to the vet's for dental and more tests.
But my goal is a strong remission so I will be more aggressive with the treatment.
At least I know what to do when he goes to low and with these tiny doses it should not be too difficult.
Sending love to everybody
