Rocky Crossed the Rainbow Bridge tonight

We took Rocky in at 5pm today. We decided the best thing to do was to help him be at peace and pain free. The vet agreed there wasn't much left to do. He was so weak he didn't even try to move. I held him in my arms the whole ride there and I was with him when he took his last breath. They gave him a sedative before they put him to sleep and he didn't even flinch . My poor Rocky boy :( Our hearts are broken . I tried everything I could but he was tired and his body could take no more. We had him cremated so he should be back home with us soon. We also had a Petsies of him made (custom made plush) the kids will love seeing him everyday. While I am glad he's no longer suffering its still so hard. Its going to be sad to wake up tomorrow and not see him in the kitchen or him fallowing you around till you feed him. We love you Rocky RIP

No matter how long we have them, it's never long enough, but the last gift we have to give them is a peaceful release from a body that has failed them.

Fly free sweet Rocky and land softly....there are lots of friends at the Bridge to welcome you and keep you company until the one you love most comes to be with you forever cat_wings>o

I also so want to Thank everyone here , you were all life savers , I was able to give Rocky some quality of life before he left .
 
I'm so sorry to hear the sad news that Rocky has gone to the Bridge. My heart hurts for you. That last gift of love is always the hardest to give.
Rocky will always live on in your heart, and one day you'll be reunited for all eternity.

So very sorry that Rocky has crossed the Bridge. The greatest gift of love is allowing our furbabies to be free from pain. Hold close the special memories to give you strength and comfort at this sad time. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
I'm SO sorry it was Rocky's time to cross....BIG huge looooooong hug.

Soar high on your new angel wings sweet boy....landing softly back in that Rocky shaped hole in your family's hearts.
