Risky is still in the vet hospital, but is improving. He is eating and drinking and his temperature has come down to 102.5. He is alert and purring! 
He is responding to the insulin--he is still getting R-- but his bg was 280 at the last check. That is the lowest bg test Rocky has ever recorded since dx. He has a collar on, because he was trying to pull out the IV--- that is a good fiesty sign. They have not checked the ketone levels today, but are going to this afternoon.
Martha visited him this morning and she said he was very glad to see her! She was encouraged with his progress.
Hopefully, Martha will be along shortly to give you further information.
Please keep Risky and Martha in your thoughts and prayers. It does look like this might have been caught early and he avoided the worst of being ketonic.
