Riley's PMPS tonight is 156. What do you think? His AMPS was 292 so he got 2 units this morning.

Here's a recap from yesterday- (haven't mastered the SS in google docs yet!)

Thanks!

Hi, New here and could use some help this evening. ** Updated Friday 6/1 **

My cat Riley just went back on Prozinc after a 6 month honeymoon :-|.

He is on 3 units twice a day. I work full time so give him his shots around 8 am and then 8pm. Always getting a BG reading 1st.
His numbers tonight are low and I am unsure whether to give him the full 3 units, reduce it, or skip it. Any help would be much appreciated. I don't have a spread sheet but here are the last few days #'s.

5/29/12
amps 333
pmps 280

5/30/12
amps 209
pmps 307

5/31/12
amps 218 at 8am
got in a little early tonight and checked bg at
+10.5 hours it was 71
+12 hours it was 145
+13 hours it was 175

Not sure if 175 is too low for a shot tonight. Any thoughts??????

All readings are after meals and all taken w. a Relion Micro.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Has he eaten? If not, can you put him off for 30 minutes and retest? It would be ideal to get a shootable and rising number instead of skipping again.

2 units gave him a long cycle and a low preshot number. I think I'd drop it a little more. Can you eyeball something like 1.75?

He is certainly responding to the insulin. Wonder what threw him out of remission and if it has resolved?

I'm with Sue-- the 2 units still looks too high. Personally, I would drop to 1.5 units.

What are you feeding?

Sorry, lost my internet connection.

I am using u40 needles that only show whole numbers so I kept it just under 2 units. He had been doing fine since going OTJ last fall. He was on a steady diet of Fancy Feast Chucky Chix. He refused to eat any of the classic variety so this was the next best thing. I ran low and the food store was closed so I picked up some FF classics (chix and turkey and giblets) and he ate them. I thought well if he likes them and they are low carb how bout I add them to the rotation to give him some variety. About 3 weeks later I noticed increased urination and ravenous appetite checked his sugar and here we are..... Not sure if it's just a coincidence but I have gone back to just the Chunky Chicken!!!
